Today I want to tell you what you mean to my life,
even though I’m afraid that words are too small to hold everything I feel for you.
You are the sun that entered my world
and brought light to places I didn’t know needed to be illuminated.
You are my moon on quiet nights,
that gentle light that reminds me that even when everything becomes dark,
I still have you.
But more than anything else,
you are the feeling that overwhelms me when you are close to me.
I love having you near me.
To hold you and keep you in my arms a little longer than I should.
To feel your warmth beside me,
to look into your eyes and forget everything else for a few moments.
I love the silence that grows between us when we don’t need words.
When just one look from you brings me closer to you.
When a simple embrace becomes the most beautiful way to tell you,
“I love you.”
I want to be beside you not only on the beautiful days,
but also on those nights when you need someone to hold you close,
to calm you, and to remind you how precious you are.
And there are moments when I want nothing else
but to be beside you,
with my arms around you,
with my forehead against yours,
letting the world wait outside of us.
Because with you, closeness is not simply about being physically near me.
It is about feeling that my heart has found a heart where it can rest.
You are not simply a part of my life.
You are the woman I want beside me when I wake up,
when night falls,
when I am happy, when I am tired,
and especially in those moments when I don’t want to talk to anyone else.
You are the embrace I long for.
The voice I want to hear.
The eyes in which I want to lose myself.
The presence I want to feel beside me.
And if someone asked me what you are to me,
it would be impossible to sum it up in one word.
Because you are not only my love.
You are the place where I want to be.
The closeness my heart longs for.
The peace I miss when you are not here.
